Customer Reviews for: Twilight (The Twilight Saga, Book 1)

Rating 5 out of 5 - Amazingly Awsome
im the type of person that would get turn down by the width of a book but my friend almost forced me to read this book and i don't regret it at all. the book was amazing, and i found myself carrying it everywhere i went just in case i had a chance to read it, finished it in 3 days and already have the sequel, New Moon. i got totally hooked with this piece, i really recomend it!

Rating 2 out of 5 - Boring
I like a good Vampire romance. They are light and good way to wind down before bed. I don't even mind decent fiction for young adults as there are good stories to be had; so I bought this book because of the reviews. Well, it's awful. Is this really what our teen aged girls are like? I wasn't and my daughter wasn't. This is just plain pathetic.

Rating 5 out of 5 - Irresistable
If you love suspense and romance then Twilight is the book for you. Stephenie Meyer tells a story of your everyday girl moving from sunny Phoenix to Forks, an almost non-existent and dreary town. Bella isn't expected to like it and isn't anxious to live with her dad, who she hasn't lived with in seventeen years. Bella has to adapt to many changes. She has mixed feelings about the first day of school, but all goes well. Her biology lab partner who is standoffish surprises her. After weeks of getting to know her class mate, Edward Cullen, Bella falls in love with him. She is irrevocably in love with his ravishing beauty, his inconceivable talents, and his ceaseless love for her. She knew there was something different about Edward that set him apart from most boys. He thirsted for her blood, but little does Bella know that with falling in love with a vampire comes severe and dangerous consequences. The star-crossed lovers will not let anything get in the way of their love for one another, even death. To put their love to the test Bella must choose between saving her mother's life and her love for Edward.

Rating 5 out of 5 - Captivating
I love to find new (to me) authors. When I first heard about this book and the author, I was very excited, but when I realized what it was about, I resisted reading it. Vampires? Ick. This was my first 'fantasy' read. The hype overcame me, however, and I relented. I finished the book in a matter of 48 hours! I stayed spellbound and thoroughly enthralled throughout the entire book, down to the very last page. It was a very good story with excellent character developments and visual descriptions. This was definitely not the old Bela Lugosi type of vampire story--it was very contemporary and intriguing. As for the fact that it is directed to young adults, I have to say that I never thought of it in that way, despite the characters being in high school. It was a suspenseful, entertaining book, with refreshingly little (maybe one) curse words or graphic sexual situations. I already have number two in the series and am anxious to get started on it!

Rating 3 out of 5 - Twilight Review
The book Twilight by Stephenie Meyer is a fascinating novel. From the beggining the simplicity of the characters and plot make it an easy read but it becomes a first class novel when Stephanie Meyer uses her writing style and structure. Bella, the main character of the first book in the twilight series, is a clumsy new girl at Forks High who takes a fascination in a group of very handsome vampires. Bella shows the readers a great perspective. Twilight is not just for the vampire lovers though, it is a delightful love story when Edward(one of the handsome vampires) and Bella get to know one another. A twist in this relationship keeps the reader holding their breath to make sure Edward doesn't take a chunk out of Bella's neck. The sense of family arouses as Bella gets to know Edward's whole family of nice vampires. When some other human-eating vampires come into to town it is not fun and games anymore because Bella is running for her life. Will she make it? Find out in Meyer's Twilight, the start of another phenomenon.
