Rating  - Calculus
The book is a very in-depth look at the foundation of Calculus. It also extends into the sections of vector analysis which is used in many series of collegiate classes. In all, it is informative to the attentive reader.
Rating  - Why this book is not a good learning resource!
Unlike most reviewers here i'm not going to waste this review talking about amazons shipping (which i didn't have a problem with), and spend time talking about the $100+ textbook you're thinking about buying. I attend a well known college which shall remain nameless for this review and am required to have this book for college calculus, and let me start by saying that this book is extremly disappointing. I received this book one month in advance hoping that i could get a head start by doing some self-teaching and was horribly wrong. First of all, like most other math text books, there is no refresher chapter in this, it's just straight calculus. So if you're not coming straight from pre-calc, your screwed. It's examples are not that great, the problems at the end of the chapter(the ones your professor will most likely assign) are much more difficult. I also purchased the supplement material, which was supposed to contain fleshed out answers for all the odd problems in your text book up to chapter 10, i believe(textbook goes up to 15, you have to buy another supplement book for the 5 remaining chapters), which it doesn't really do. For a book that cost over $100 it needs to be helpful and this is not, i wish i had the money to buy another calculus textbook that doesn't expect you to be a math expert from the start. And the media upgrade is pretty worthless too, this is by far one of the worst college level textbooks i have ever come across.
Rating - Examples?
This book has nice pictures and is put together well. That being said, for learning calculus is is very short on examples. Even with the solutions manual, some of the steps to solve equations are poorly defined and steps are skipped. I do not recommend this book for a student who needs step-by-step examples to grasp the subject matter.
Rating  - Books in good condition, but shipping takes too long.
I order the book a week ago and i get it after a week by using the standard shipping $3.99 for each item. The book is in a very good condition and cheap, but just the shipping takes too long, i recommond buy the text book 1 or 2 weeks before the class start just in case you will get your books ontime.
