I've read books that disturbed and shocked me but I can't remember one as powerful as this! That is one brave lady, and I admire her so much for telling her story so honestly. This is a must read!
Rating - poor writing yes, nevertheless 4 stars for the weight and importance of the subject matter
Yes, I have had many times suffered through the bad writing and editing and the repetitious details etc. But afterall it is important to experience the everyday suffering, frustration, agitation of the author and her family and friends. The terrorist hypocrites committing brutal crimes against humanity all in the name of God and salvation are the ultimate evil blasphemers. People also realize and be scared by reading books like this how easy and insidious religions can be to seep into the culture, and before you know it, they become the law that affect everybody, but historically, women usually get the worst of it. People need to pay serious attention to politics of religion, particularly the kind that promote absolute, and exclusive self-righteousness and refuse to honor separation of church and state.
Rating - Very interesting read
I enjoyed the book very much. At times I was so repulsed by the behaviors of Jessop's then husband, I was reminded of a train wreck that you just can't keep from gawking at. Ms. Jessop is indeed a plucky woman, and her story deserves a listen.
