Rating  - the holy grail
when i was in medschool the netter series was the most coveted anatomy "picture book" but least attainable (due to price as well as size,
kind of like carrying around the worldbook encyclopedia series...)
now it all is in a single well organized book.
In pvt primary care practice i turn to it several times a week
i highly recommend it
Rating - Great for learning and review!
I teach Supplemental Instruction for Medical Gross Anatomy and have found Netter to be very helpful both for teaching my students and for me own review of the material. The Netter images are brightly colored, which may not be true to life but makes the initial learning of structures easier. The orginization of the book is also very easy to use with our with out consulting the index. For me netter is by far the best anatomy atlas and if you were only going to buy one I'd get this one. It does not replace the cadaver lab, but its clean colorful pictures are great for learning where things should be and where to look for things. This is a great tool!
Rating - Excellent *atlas*
Keep in mind this is an atlas. There is no text explaining anything (the only text is labels on the pictures). The pictures are fabulous, and this is very useful for an anatomy course. I couldn't get through the class without it, it is very helpful. I highly recommend it. Just, make sure you take good notes in class if you're more of a text person than a picture person.
Rating  - Great Atlas, Bad view of Veins
I like this atlas a lot and is very useful for my gross anatomy course. However, I have noticed that some of the circulatory system is lacking. I can be difficult to find diagrams that easily identify certain things, particularly in reference to the veins and a little bit with the lymphatics. All in all, I like this book a lot and probably would not rather a different one. Also, the CD is very helpful if you want to set up quizes for yourself.
