Rating  - A SHOT AT LOVE WITH TILA TEQUILA UNRATED?
The bad words aren't bleeped out. But the body parts are fuzzed which makes this series very rated specially when DOMINICO was washing the HUMMER in his g-string his @$$ was showing without being fuzzed, but when the compition to bathe in the pool full of chocolate came it was then that it was fuzzed which makes no sense at all. Plus the show's theme song wasn't included at all in any of the episodes, which is ridiculious.
But all in all the show is an excellent show for anybody to enjoy cause guys don't mind seing 2 girls kissing. this show I considered it an open-minding show to the gap between our past generation, our generation & our future generation.
Rating  - The DVD's are CENSORED so why call it uncensored
There may be a few added scenes, but for all intent and purpose the DVD episodes are the same and just as censored as when they were shown on MTV. If you're looking for an uncensored version of the show, like the Flavor of Love DVD, you won't find it here.
Rating  - The highest rated show on MTV in years
The highest rated show on MTV in years, "A shot at love" is a reality dating show with a twist. Usually the bachelor/ette on these is overseeing a gaggle of suitors trying to win his or her attention. The twist here is that Telia, a rapper/actress/internet celebrity is bisexual and willing to consider a male or female partner.
Because the suitors are competing across genders this throws off everyone's game. I mean as a guy, I know what the rules are when competing against another guy for a woman's atteniton, but do the same rules hold when the competion isn't a guy? Who knows and that adds the fresh twist to this.
As teams and indivduals the suitors compete in a rediculous series of contests, such as who can eat the most bull genitals, who can rub the most melted chocolate on their bodies etc , with the prize being alone time with Tila.
Each episode ends with the traditional elimination ceremoney and these rapidly became infamous in pop culture for the responses of some rejected suitors.
As a guilty pleasure this is a fun watch. One of those that will probably have you saying "Why am I watching this this?" but you still won't reach for the remote to turn it off.
If there is a down side, and why I only give it 3 stars? Look at the title. "First season" before they even finished airing the first season, they were casting the second season which really makes you call into question whether Tila is more concerned with finding fame for herself than love.
Rating  - Most Entertaining and Addictive show MTV has seen in years,,,
This little gem aired on TV a little while ago, at first, I thought 'Just what we need, another bling-bling glitzy and glossy reality TV show for MTV', and i can guarantee anybody else would think the same thing, but i was completely wrong. Not only was every moment of this utterly hilarious, (including some unintentional funny scenes) but it goes about in such a stylish and clever way, including contestants that are impossible to not like and hate. Across the water, where i come from, tila tequila is a little-known name and this show made sure it wouldnt be from now on. Every episode, you find yourself saying 'It couldnt possibly get any better than this' but guess what? it does. Every episode is hilarious and 100% re-watchable, and will provide you with some over-the-top dramatic moments that will make you sometimes wonder if perhaps it is staged, but i'm assuming it's not. A second series has been announced, which was music to my ears to me, and this DVD release shocked me at first, since I assumed A shot at Love would rule MTV for a week in the spotlight and left only as tapes in some hollywood studio. Im sure the DVD will prevent people from forgetting the show, and i recommend this DVD all the way.
