The CV0204DVR is a complete recording system that allows you to view your security cameras online from any Internet enabled PC, anywhere in the world! This complete system comes with four outdoor cameras and can display all four (quad view) at the same time. Customize the recording and set a 24 hour recording schedule based on your preferences. You can choose to have the DVR record continuously during the day, then record only when motion is detected at night. And since each camera is equipped with night vision, you can view and record in total darkness!

This DVR can record four different camera views (quad view) simultaneously and play it back at a smooth 30 frames per second. During playback you can even display each camera in full screen or view all four without losing quality. Finding your recorded footage is a breeze. Just search for the time and date it was recorded and the file will be displayed. Everything is stored on the DVR's internal 160GB hard drive, allowing you a maximum of 150 days of continuous recording. Four High Resolution CCD Cameras This system comes with four high resolution indoor/outdoor CCD cameras to provide you with a clear, crisp, enhanced image at 420 TV lines of resolution. Up to 150 Days of Continuous Recording This system captures high quality digital video and records directly to the included 160 GB hard drive. The CV0204DVR can capture up to 150 continuous days of video and also gives you the option to overwrite your old footage once the hard drive is full. Overwrite mode will automatically record over your previously recorded footage and replace it with new video. This feature ensures that your DVR records consistently even when the hard drive is full. You can also set the DVR to full stop, which will halt all recording once the hard drive is full and will not overwrite any previously recorded footage. Additionally, an audible alarm can be set to alert you when the hard drive becomes full.

Motion Activated Recording The CV0204DVR has motion activated recording, ensuring that only important footage is captured. Motion activation allows you to record only when necessary and makes it easy to find important footage during video playback. This will save you time and conserve hard drive space. The motion activated alarm option will sound an alarm on the DVR whenever motion is detected. This alerts you of movement in your monitoring area. Enhanced motion detection settings ensure that false alarms are not triggered by street traffic or objects moving in the wind. I am just installing this system. The basic function is pretty easy to set up. I have one camera installed and it works pretty well in bright light, but is a little disappointing in the dark.

The mount for the cameras is a definite drawback to this system. I had to mess around with the mount on the first camera for it to work. Well, it worked fairly well for 6 mos. Then, as others have stated in their reviews, I began getting the "HDD FAIL". The hard drive fails and it doesn't record anymore. The only way to get it to do anything is unplug it and reboot. But, for someone like me that is trying to oversee a business and am not in the office everyday, I lose days of recording before I can get there to reboot it. I recently bought this system it arrived on time and well packed. This being my first system that was not so complicated to set up. I really liked the power supply / cable connection set up SVAT has with this model. I get only B & W picture on my LCD TV not a big issue maybe needs adjustments and color off my computer.Day time camera pictures are very good and clear to 50 ft Night 25 ft and clear maybe more with outside lights. 1)The hard-drive was not too stable, it failed alot(may be twice a week)
when it fail, all function disable, you need to unplug the power then
reconnect to made it work again, you may lost some important time when

The first unit I received failed with a "HDD FAIL" hard drive crash. This happened within hours of being installed and connected. I found SVAT warranty support to be amazingly lacking. Although SVAT claims 1 year warranty, the item must be returned at your own expense, turn around time is slow and SVAT requires you to sign a claim contract stating that SVAT can charge you $50 per hour for basically any reason they deem necessary associated with your return.
