Excellent product! Icom makes superior products. The battery has a shorter lifespan because it needs to be lighter in order for the unit to float. Most people, myself included, would not even notice the difference. It still holds a couple days charge even if you use constantly. If you need a hand held VHF, I would highly recommend this one.
